The New Collective
Christopher's work, Loss Of Freedom, will be on display at The Pittsburgh Center For The Arts through January 19, 2014. The piece is part of an exhibition titled "The New Collective". The show was curated by: Petra Fallaux, Creative Director for Springboard Design; Renee Stout, internationally known multi‐media artist; and Bill Horrigan, Curator‐at‐Large for the the Wexner Center and a previous member of the three‐ person Advisory Team for the Whitney Museum’s 2008 Biennial Exhibition.

Sacred Art Modern World
Christopher's solo exhibition, Sacred Art Modern World, will be on display at The Cathedral of Hope, Pittsburgh PA, Oct 4, to Nov 4, 2013.

Christopher Wins 1st Place Award In International Competition
Christopher's image, In Search Of, is the first place award winner in The New York Center For Photographic Arts international exhibition. The juror for this event is brilliant punk fashion photographer Ellen Denuto.

Xavier University Award Of Excellence
Christopher is given the Award Of Excellence Purchase Award by Xavier University president Michael J. Graham, S.J. for his work in their Multicultural Expressions Of Faith. exhibition

Camera Obscura Journal
Two of Christopher's images will be featured in Camera Obscura Journal Vol. 6. One of his images was chosen as an honorable mention and will be given a full page spread in the journal. It will be available for purchase at Barnes & Noble book stores everywhere.

Conversations 5:10
Christopher's work will be on display at Most Wanted Fine Art Gallery for the exhibition, Conversations 5:10. The show is curated by Art Critic Graham Shearing.

Denial Featured In the Pittsburgh Post Gazette
The Denial Of Peter, is featured in the Magazine section of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette. In the accompanying article Mary Thomas writes, "Christopher Ruane effectively contemporizes a biblical story and takes a swipe at art world pretentiousness in the digitally altered photograph 'The Denial of Peter,' in which the artist of an exhibited religious painting denies to the sophisticates present that he created the work. By extrapolation viewers, also standing within a gallery, are implicated. Mr. Ruane also exhibits 'Doubting Thomas'."

Two New Works to be Displayed at the Carnegie Museum
Two of Christopher's works will be on display for the AAP 102nd at The Carnegie Museum Of Art. David Norr, Chief Curator of the Museum of Contemporary Art, Cleveland chose, Doubting Thomas, and, The Denial Of Peter, for inclusion in the exhibition.

Christopher and Stefanie Ruane were pictured in the March 2013 Issue of Whirl Magazine for Christopher's winning image at the Ward Home exhibition at Pittsburgh Center for the Arts.

Christopher's Image Wildfire Wins 1st Place in Picture This! Exhibition
Curated by Ellen Fleurov, the Executive Director of The Silver Eye Center for Photography and past Director of the Museum, California Center for the Arts. Ms. Fleurov chose two of Christopher's images for this exhibition, Wildfire and Celestial Event.

Christopher Wins 1st Place in Fourth Nationwide Juried Catholic Arts Exhibition
The images, Faith and The Good Samaritan were chosen for inclusion in The Fourth Nationwide Catholic Arts Exhibition hosted by St. Vincent College and Brother Nathan Cochran. The juror, John Thomas Spike, is a noted art historian, author and lecturer, specializing in Italian Renaissance and Baroque art. He is also an important critic of contemporary art and is past director of the Biennial of Florence in 2007. He chose Christopher's work The Good Samaritan as the 1st Place Award winner.

NYC Digital Photography Group Show
Christopher's work will be on display at The Soho Gallery for Digital Art in their upcoming collaborative exhibition. Named as one of the best contemporary art galleries in NYC, SGDA is a completely digital gallery and showcase for contemporary digital artists.

Juror's Award at PSA 2012 Annual Exhibition
Christopher's work Tree of Life won a Juror's Award at this years PSA Annual. He had two works chosen for this exhibition. Curated by Dr. Vicky A. Clark, gallery director and art historian at Clarion University.

Scapes at Panza Gallery
Christopher's work, In Search Of, was chosen by juror Petra Fallaux to be included the the Scapes Exhibition at Panza Gallery in Millvale. Ms.Fallaux is the previous director of Carnegie Mellon’s Art Galleries.

White Stone Gallery, Art and Faith 2012 Catalogue
Christopher's work will included in White Stone Gallery's, Art and Faith 2012. Catalogue. White Stone Gallery is the leading commercial gallery in the art and faith genre and provides fine art by contemporary artists who have drawn the attention of media including Art in America, ARTnews, Associated Press, International Herald Tribune, CNN, Los Angeles Times, New York Times and many others.

Merrick Masters Exhibition
Christopher's piece, Unlikely Skyline, was chosen for the 2012 Merrick Masters Exhibition at the Merrick Museum of Art.

Myths and Fables
Christopher's piece, No Place Like Home, was chosen for the Myths and Fables Exhibition at Gallery Sim, July 10 – July 30, 2011. The show juror is Artist and Arts Educator, David Olson. Mr. Olson has an extensive art education history and is connected with Andy Warhol and Carnegie Museums.

Prix de la Photographie, Paris
One of Christopher's works has been chosen as an official selection for the 2011 Px3 Photography Competition in Paris, France. The competition is juried by leading editors, publishers, curators, gallery owners, consultants, creative directors, and art directors, Px3 brings the best of photography from across the globe to Paris.

37th Westmoreland Art Nationals
Christopher just received the 2011 Westmoreland Art Nationals Photography Award for one of his works. His work will be on display at WCCC through July 2nd.

Three Rivers Arts Festival
Christopher will be showing and selling work June 3-7 at booth #22. He will have over 30 framed canvas pieces and many archival photographic prints for sale. There will also be some limited edition prints available that have never been viewed by the public.

Extremes Exhibition
Christopher's work, Molokini, was chosen for the Extremes Exhibition, being held at Pittsburgh Center for the Arts. The work was juried by Jill Larson, an accomplished artist, educator, and founding Director of Fe Gallery in Lawrenceville. Twenty pieces were chosen for inclusion and will be on display from April 8 to May 22.

Interplay
Christopher's work, National Insecurity was selected to be displayed in the upcoming art exhibition, Interplay. Only 50 pieces were chosen out of 206 submissions by Eric Shiner, Milton Fine Curator at the Andy Warhol Museum. The piece will be on display at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, second floor galleries June 25-August 22.

100 @ 100 President's Choice Exhibit
Christopher was selected by the President of the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh as one of 100 AAP members to represent the Association in an exhibition to celebrate AAP's 100th birthday and their connection with the Three Rivers Arts Festival. The exhibition will be held at 907 Penn Avenue in the Cultural District during the festival June 4-13.

New Juried Visual Arts Exhibition
Christopher's work, The End Is Real has been chosen to be displayed at the New Juried Visual Arts Exhibition. The exhibition will take place at an indoor Cultural District gallery during the 2010 Three Rivers Arts Festival, June 4-13, in downtown Pittsburgh.

Work from 75 artists was chosen out of hundreds of entries. The exhibition was juried by a panel of Pittsburgh-based curators. The distinguished jurors are Sarah Hall, Curator of the Frick Art and Historical Center; Murray Horne, Curator of Wood Street and Space Galleries; and Adam Welch, Curator of the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts and Pittsburgh Filmmakers Galleries.


Three Rivers Arts Festival Emerging Artist Scholarship
Christopher was chosen as one of Pittsburgh's Emerging Artists for the Three Rivers Arts Festival and will be showing and selling work June 9-13 at booth #87. He will have over 30 framed canvas pieces and many archival photographic prints for sale. There will also be some limited edition prints available that have never been viewed by the public.
